intersection
Where paths cross
An intersection is where two or more things cross or meet.
Most commonly, it's the place where roads meet: Turn left at the next intersection.
In geometry, an intersection is where lines or shapes overlap.
The word extends to any point of overlap or connection: the intersection of art and technology, the intersection of race and class.
What falls within the intersection shares characteristics of both crossing elements.
