starboard
Ship's right side
Starboard is the right side of a ship or aircraft when facing forward.
The term persists in nautical and aviation contexts where "right" and "left" would be ambiguous as people face different directions: Turn to starboard.
The opposite is port.
As a verb, to starboard is to turn the helm rightward.
