keying

Entering via keyboard

Keying is the act of scratching a car's paint with a key, typically as vandalism or revenge: Someone keyed my car in the parking lot.

In broadcasting and video production, keying is a technique for replacing one image with another based on color or brightness—as in chroma keying, where a green screen becomes a different background.
