keystore
Digital key locker
A keystore is a secure repository for cryptographic keys, certificates, and other sensitive credentials.
In software development and security, keystores protect private keys used for encryption, authentication, and digital signatures: The app wouldn't build until I configured the keystore properly.
Java applications commonly use keystores to manage SSL certificates and code-signing credentials.
