RSA
Asymmetric encryption standard
RSA is a widely used encryption algorithm for securing digital communications, named after its inventors Rivlin, Shamir, and Adleman.
It relies on the mathematical difficulty of factoring large prime numbers.
RSA underpins much of internet security—protecting everything from online banking to email.
Outside cryptography, RSA is the Republic of South Africa.
