keycard
Swipeable door opener
A keycard is a flat plastic card used to unlock doors, typically in hotels and office buildings.
The card contains a magnetic strip or electronic chip that communicates with a reader: She waved her keycard at the sensor.
Keycards have largely replaced traditional metal keys in commercial settings because they can be easily reprogrammed or deactivated.
