delt

Shoulder muscle, briefly

A delt is a deltoid muscle—one of the triangular muscles capping the shoulder.

The term appears almost exclusively in fitness contexts, usually plural: My delts are sore from yesterday's workout, shoulder presses for bigger delts.

Gym culture favors the clipped form over the full anatomical term.
