abs
Negation-removing math operation
Abs is the informal term for abdominal muscles, especially when visibly defined: She's been working on her abs at the gym.
The word appears constantly in fitness contexts—six-pack abs, ab workout, killer abs.
Abs also serves as shorthand for the anti-lock braking system in vehicles, though that usage more commonly appears as ABS.
