lateral raise

Arms lift sideways

A lateral raise is a strength training exercise that targets the shoulder muscles, particularly the deltoids.

Standing with arms at your sides holding dumbbells, you lift the weights outward and upward until your arms are roughly parallel to the floor, then lower them with control.

The movement isolates the middle deltoid, building shoulder width and definition.

I do three sets of lateral raises on shoulder day.
