biceps
Upper arm muscles
The biceps is the large muscle at the front of the upper arm, responsible for bending the elbow and rotating the forearm.
Though biceps ends in *s*, it's singular—one biceps, two biceps: My left biceps is sore from yesterday's workout.
The word also names the corresponding muscle at the back of the thigh (biceps femoris).
Flexing one's biceps is a classic display of strength.
