delta waves
Deep sleep signals
Delta waves are the slowest brain waves, occurring during deep, dreamless sleep.
They cycle at roughly 0.5 to 4 times per second and are associated with restorative rest, healing, and unconscious states.
Delta waves dominate in infants and decrease with age.
Their presence during wakefulness can indicate brain injury or certain disorders.
