colloid
Milk's mixture type
A colloid is a mixture where tiny particles of one substance are dispersed throughout another without dissolving or settling out—milk, fog, and gelatin are colloids.
The particles are larger than molecules but too small to see, suspended indefinitely rather than separating like sand in water.
Colloidal silver describes silver particles suspended in liquid, marketed as a health supplement.
