juice

Squeezed fruit liquid

Juice is the liquid component of a fruit or vegetable, extracted by crushing, squeezing, or some other means.

Liquid components of other foods may also be called juice, like the drippings from meat.

If you juice apples, for example, you extract the juice from them.

Informal and slang meanings of juice include electricity (the motor isn’t getting any juice), an agreeable quality of energy and enthusiasm, or power or influence: Ask Tom to introduce you; he’s got juice with the boss.
