kaolin

Fine white earth

Kaolin is a fine white clay used in making porcelain, paper, rubber, and other products.

It produces a smooth, pure material valued for its whiteness and plasticity when wet.

Kaolin also appears in medicines and cosmetics: The calamine lotion contains kaolin as an absorbent.
