aggregation
Items grouped together
Aggregation is the act of gathering things into a collection or mass, or the collection itself.
Data aggregation combines information from multiple sources.
In biology, aggregation describes organisms clustering together: an aggregation of cells, an aggregation of flamingos at the lake.
The word emphasizes accumulation without necessarily implying organization or unity—items in an aggregation retain their individual identity while being counted as part of a whole.
