coast
Land meets water
A coast is the land along the edge of a sea or ocean: the California coast, a drive down the coast.
To coast is to move without applying power—a bicycle coasting downhill, a car coasting to a stop.
By extension, coasting means getting by with minimal effort: He coasted through his senior year.
The coast is clear means no one is watching and it's safe to proceed.
