Stretched skateboard cousin
A longboard is an elongated skateboard, typically 33 to 60 inches long, designed for cruising, downhill racing, or carving rather than tricks.
The extended deck and larger wheels provide stability at speed and a smoother ride: She commutes to work on her longboard.
Longboard also refers to a traditional surfboard, longer and more buoyant than shortboards, favored for classic wave-riding style.
