clean and jerk
Two-phase hoist
Clean and jerk is an Olympic weightlifting movement performed in two phases.
In the clean, the lifter pulls the barbell from the floor to the shoulders in one explosive motion, catching it in a squat position.
In the jerk, the lifter drives the bar overhead to arm's length, typically splitting the legs fore and aft.
She set a personal record in the clean and jerk.
