rep

One curl counted

Rep is an informal shortening with several sources.

Most commonly it's short for repetition in exercise contexts: I did fifteen reps of bicep curls.

Rep also abbreviates representative, especially a sales rep or congressional rep.

In theater, rep is repertory: a play in rep.

As slang, rep means reputation: He's got a bad rep around here.
