dunk

Slam through hoop

To dunk is to dip something briefly into liquid—a doughnut into coffee, a cookie into milk.

In basketball, a dunk is a shot where a player thrusts the ball directly through the hoop from above, and to dunk is to score this way: He dunked on three defenders.

Internet slang extends this to verbal takedowns: She dunked on him with one tweet.
