kettlebell

Gym ball, handled

A kettlebell is a cast-iron weight shaped like a cannonball with a handle, used for strength and conditioning exercises.

Unlike dumbbells, the handle allows swinging movements that build explosive power and cardiovascular endurance: kettlebell swings, Turkish get-ups.

The design originated in Russia, where kettlebells have been training tools since the 1700s.
