bioprinting
Organ layer manufacturing
Bioprinting is a form of 3D printing that uses living cells and biological materials to build tissue structures layer by layer.
The technology aims to create functional human organs for transplant, though current applications focus on simpler tissues for research and drug testing: Scientists bioprinted a patch of cardiac tissue.
The verb is bioprint.
