G-code
CNC programming commands
G-code is a programming language that controls automated machine tools—CNC mills, lathes, 3D printers, and laser cutters.
Commands beginning with G specify movements and operations: G0 for rapid positioning, G1 for linear cutting.
The code tells machines exactly where to move, how fast, and what to do when they get there.
The CAM software generated G-code from the 3D model.
