osteoblast
Skeletal tissue maker
An osteoblast is a cell that produces bone tissue.
These cells secrete the proteins and minerals that form the structural matrix of bone, essentially building new bone during growth, healing, and continuous remodeling throughout life.
Osteoblasts lay down new bone while osteoclasts break it down.
