organ harvesting
Extracting donor tissues
Organ harvesting is the removal of organs from a body, typically for transplantation.
The term often carries sinister connotations—forced or nonconsensual extraction from prisoners, victims of trafficking, or vulnerable populations: allegations of organ harvesting from political prisoners.
In neutral medical contexts, the process is usually called organ procurement or organ recovery instead.
