Normandy
Channel-facing French region
Normandy is a region in northern France along the English Channel, historically significant as the homeland of the Normans who conquered England in 1066 and as the site of the Allied D-Day landings in World War II.
The beaches of Normandy now draw visitors to military cemeteries and memorials.
We toured the Normandy countryside.
