Loire Valley
French vineyard region
The Loire Valley is a region in central France stretching along the Loire River, renowned for its historic châteaux, vineyards, and scenic landscapes.
Often called the "Garden of France," it contains hundreds of Renaissance castles and manor houses that once served as royal residences and aristocratic retreats.
The region produces distinctive wines, particularly whites from Sancerre and Vouvray, and sparkling Crémant de Loire.
UNESCO designated much of the valley a World Heritage Site for its cultural landscape.
