England
Britain's largest country
England is the largest and most populous country within the United Kingdom, occupying the southern two-thirds of the island of Great Britain.
It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west.
London is both England's capital and the UK's.
In casual speech, England is often used interchangeably with Britain or the UK, though this conflation irritates the Scots, Welsh, and Northern Irish.
