Brachiosaurus

Giraffe-like prehistoric giant

Brachiosaurus is a genus of enormous plant-eating dinosaur from the Late Jurassic period, distinguished by its unusually long front legs and upright neck—more giraffe-like than most sauropods.

The name means "arm lizard," referring to those elongated forelimbs.

Among the largest land animals ever to exist, it appears frequently in popular culture: The brachiosaurus scene in Jurassic Park made everyone cry.
