hummingbird
Tiny hovering bird
A hummingbird is a tiny, brightly colored bird native to the Americas, named for the humming sound its rapidly beating wings produce.
Hummingbirds hover in place while feeding on flower nectar, their wings beating up to eighty times per second.
They are the only birds capable of sustained backward flight.
