T-Rex

Short-armed giant

T-Rex is short for Tyrannosaurus rex, a massive carnivorous dinosaur that lived in North America during the late Cretaceous period.

With its huge skull, powerful jaws, and famously tiny arms, the T-Rex has become the iconic dinosaur of popular culture: The museum's T-Rex skeleton drew crowds.

Often spelled T. rex in scientific contexts.
