Between Triassic, Cretaceous
Jurassic refers to the middle period of the Mesozoic Era, roughly 200 to 145 million years ago, when dinosaurs dominated the Earth.
The term gained wide recognition through the *Jurassic Park* franchise, though many of its featured dinosaurs actually lived in the Cretaceous.
