antialiasing

Pixel boundary softening

Antialiasing is a digital graphics technique that smooths jagged edges on curved lines and diagonal shapes by blending pixels at boundaries.

Without it, images and text display stair-stepped artifacts called "jaggies" because screens are made of square pixels that can't perfectly represent angles.

The technique works by calculating intermediate colors between an object and its background, creating the illusion of smoother transitions.

Turn on antialiasing if the text looks pixelated.
