vector image
Path-based digital picture
A vector image is a digital graphic defined by mathematical formulas rather than pixels.
Because shapes are described as points, lines, and curves, vector images can be scaled to any size without losing sharpness—unlike raster images, which become pixelated when enlarged.
Logos, icons, and illustrations are typically created as vectors for this reason: Save the logo as a vector image so we can use it on billboards.
