SVG

Web vector format

SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics, a file format for two-dimensional images that uses mathematical formulas rather than pixels.

Unlike JPEGs or PNGs, SVG images can be scaled to any size without becoming blurry or pixelated: The logo is an SVG, so it looks crisp at any resolution.

SVG files are commonly used for icons, logos, and illustrations on websites because they remain sharp on screens of all sizes and can be styled with code. (Lowercase svg appears as a file extension.)
