coordinate grid
Numbered axis plane
A coordinate grid is a flat surface divided by perpendicular numbered lines, used to locate points by their horizontal and vertical positions.
The lines typically cross at an origin point where both values are zero.
Students learn coordinate grids in math class before advancing to full coordinate planes with negative values: Plot the point at 3, 5 on the coordinate grid.
