prawns
Seafood with legs
Prawns is the plural of prawn, a shellfish similar to shrimp.
In British English and much of the world, prawn is the standard term for what Americans call shrimp, though technically prawns are a distinct species with branching gills.
Prawns on the barbie is stereotypically Australian.
We ordered garlic prawns.
