harvest
Bringing crops in
Harvest is the gathering of mature crops from fields.
The word extends to the season when this happens and to what's collected: a bountiful harvest, the wheat harvest.
Figuratively, harvest applies to gathering anything accumulated over time: harvest the rewards of hard work, organ harvest.
To harvest is to collect or reap: They harvested the grapes in October.
