pirateship
Skull-flagged seafarer
Pirateship is the state or condition of being a pirate, or the practice of piracy itself.
The word appears in historical and literary contexts: His pirateship lasted three years before he was captured.
Less commonly, pirateship refers to a vessel used by pirates, though "pirate ship" (two words) is the standard form for that meaning.
