hydrogen gas
Balloon filler, flammable
Hydrogen gas is the molecular form of hydrogen—two hydrogen atoms bonded together (H₂).
It's the lightest gas, colorless and odorless, and highly flammable.
Hydrogen gas serves as rocket fuel, in welding, and increasingly as a clean energy source since burning it produces only water.
The Hindenburg disaster made people wary of hydrogen gas.
