boiling point
Temperature of vaporization
Boiling point is the temperature at which a liquid becomes a gas—for water at sea level, 100°C or 212°F.
Figuratively, a boiling point is the moment when tension erupts into action or conflict: Frustration reached a boiling point when management announced the layoffs.
To reach the boiling point is to lose one's temper.
