refueling
Topping off tanks
Refueling is the act of adding fuel to a vehicle, aircraft, or other machine.
The term applies literally to filling a gas tank or topping off an airplane mid-flight, and figuratively to any restorative pause: I'm refueling with coffee before the next meeting.
Also spelled refuelling in British English.
