clean energy
Pollution-free electricity source
Clean energy is power generated from sources that produce little or no pollution or greenhouse gas emissions—solar, wind, hydroelectric, nuclear, and geothermal.
The term often overlaps with renewable energy, though nuclear qualifies as clean but not renewable.
The country is investing heavily in clean energy.
Also called green energy.
