glazing
Ceramic surface finish
Glazing is the process of fitting glass into windows, doors, or other frames, or the glass itself once installed: double glazing, the glazing in old houses.
It also refers to applying a glossy coating—a baker glazes pastry, a potter glazes ceramics.
In painting, glazing is layering thin, translucent paint over dried color to create depth or modify tone.
