Rotating meat sandwich
Doner kebab is a Turkish dish of seasoned meat—typically lamb, beef, or chicken—stacked in a cone and roasted on a vertical rotisserie.
Thin slices are shaved off as the outer layer cooks, then served in flatbread or pita with vegetables and sauce.
The rotating spit (döner means "turning" in Turkish) inspired Greek gyros and Middle Eastern shawarma.
