Bread with cavity
Pita is a round, flat bread that puffs up during baking, creating a hollow pocket inside.
Common in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, the pocket makes it ideal for stuffing with falafel, shawarma, or other fillings: I ordered a chicken pita for lunch.
Pita also works as a scoop for hummus or dips.
