styrofoam
Cheap cooler material
Styrofoam is a genericized trademark for expanded polystyrene foam, the lightweight white material used for disposable cups, takeout containers, and packing materials.
It's technically a brand name for a specific type of insulation board, but common usage applies it to any foam plastic: The coffee came in a styrofoam cup.
The material is notorious for being non-biodegradable. (Capitalized Styrofoam is the trademark.)
