dolma
Filled grape leaves
Dolma is a family of stuffed dishes common in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Central Asian cuisines.
The most familiar version consists of grape leaves wrapped around a filling of rice, herbs, and sometimes ground meat, though the term covers any vegetable—peppers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes—that has been hollowed out and stuffed.
Dolmas may be served hot as a main dish or cold as an appetizer, often with yogurt or lemon.
