drippings
Fat from cooking
Drippings are the fat and juices that collect in the pan when meat is roasted or fried.
Cooks save drippings to make gravy, baste the meat, or use as cooking fat: Yorkshire pudding is traditionally made with beef drippings.
The singular dripping appears mainly in British English.
