Relatives brought together
Family reunification is the process of bringing separated family members together, typically through immigration policy.
Most often it refers to legal pathways allowing immigrants to sponsor relatives—spouses, children, parents, siblings—to join them in a new country: She gained citizenship and immediately filed for family reunification.
The term also applies to reuniting children with parents after foster care or displacement by war.
